Teaching philosophy
I teach the way I research: by staying with the half-finished sentence rather than rushing to correct it. Most writing problems I encounter in the classroom are not grammar problems — they are meaning problems, a student reaching for a way to say something their training has not yet given them words for. My role is to help them find those words, not to supply my own instead.

Teaching and Research Assistant, University of Bahrain
Undergraduate English language and grammar, academic writing, and ESP across mixed-proficiency cohorts, including English for Business, Writing for IT, English Orientation. Coordinated Writing for IT across a multi-section cohort; helped establish the University of Bahrain Writing Centre; provided academic-writing guidance to Master's and PhD students across disciplines.
